Dumeril's boa - species


There are two species of snakes which belong to the same genus of Acrantophis: Dumeril's Boa, Acrantophis dumerili, and the Madagascar Ground Boa, Acrantophis madagascariensis.

The only place in the world where they can be found in the wild is Madagascar. They look soemwhat similar, and can be confused by untrained eye.
